MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has announced the resumption of operations for government digital services and systems that were temporarily suspended, confirming the stability of the operational environment and the return of services to functioning with their usual efficiency.
On Monday, MTCIT said that some services and digital systems at a number of government institutions are currently experiencing temporary disruptions.
The disruptions were due to technical work aimed at restoring and stabilising the operational environment after some components were affected by limited power outages. This may temporarily restrict access to certain digital services or prevent them from functioning normally.
The ministry said it was coordinating with government institutions and service providers to restore the services, ensure the stability of the operational environment and maintain the continuity of government digital services.
The Unified Government Services Portal was temporarily unavailable due to disruptions affecting some government digital systems, impacting the completion of transactions through the portal.
